International Travel Certificates

One of the key aspects of the service involves obtaining the necessary documentation for international travel. The clinic assists pet owners in obtaining international travel certificates, ensuring that their pets meet the health and vaccination requirements of the destination country. These certificates are vital for a smooth entry into the new location and help prevent unnecessary complications.

Microchipping and Identification

To enhance the safety of pets during international travel, the clinic recommends and facilitates the microchipping of pets. Microchipping provides a reliable means of identification, ensuring that pets can be reunited with their owners in case of separation. This measure aligns with international standards and regulations governing pet travel.

Pets Going Abroad

If you are in the military and have pets, please be aware that if you are sent to your next duty station – it is your responsibility to make sure your pet is up-to-date and ready to go. There are some places, such as Hawaii, Japan, Guam, and England, that have extremely strict import rules and regulations. There are specific vaccines and bloodwork requirements that need to be done before you leave with your pet – this process can take 4-6 months to complete.

If you are not prepared and the animal has not had the proper requirements fulfilled it will be subject to a 120-day quarantine at minimum. Some quarantine stays may be longer, and some may be shorter, depending on the destination. Please contact your military officials for the proper paperwork depending on your next assignment; you must bring this information with you for your visits here.

Remember you are responsible for keeping up with appointment dates and charges that apply – not only with us but also when you arrive at your destination. Also, note that rules and regulations are subject to change depending on the place of import mandates – we have no control over these changes.
