Meet the friendly staff at Goose Creek Veterinary Clinic!
Dr. Lerma attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He has been an associate veterinarian at Goose Creek Veterinary Clinic since 2006, focusing on our canine and feline patients. Dr. Lerma enjoys internal medicine, ultrasonography, and dentistry. He has taken extensive extra training and education in the last couple of years in both abdominal ultrasound and dental surgery.
Dr. Tim Sullivan attended Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary medicine where he was very active in several organizations such as the Student Chapter of the Disaster Animal Response Team (SCDART). Dr. Sullivan had additional training in dentistry, anesthesiology, and preventative medicine. Preventative medicine, he believes, is key to our pets health. It enables us, as veterinary professionals to diagnose potential health concerns early.
Dr. Daniel Westphal joined the GCVC family in July 2017. He graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 following an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Illinois. He was a small animal tracker in veterinary school, specializing in canine and feline medicine. He has an interest in preventative and internal medicine. Whenever he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Westphal enjoys exploring the outdoors and watching live music.

Kyle joined our team in 2015 with many years of experience from a veterinary clinic in Sumter, SC. He graduated from Trident Technical College with an Associates in Commercial Graphics-Photography in 2014. He is an avid photographer and graphic designer. In his spare time he loves to travel and does at every opportunity. Her is an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) and The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Tiffany started her vet med career in June 2015 but her love for animals started when she was about 3-4 years old. She has 2 human babies (Hayleigh and Raymond) and 3 furbabies (Spooks, Ruby and Jax). Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her kids. She is also a big beach lover and enjoys crafting.
Shannon has been apart of our team since March of 2007. She has 2 children and a wonderful grand-daughter. Her family also includes 2 dogs (Cleopatra and Gemma) and 2 cats named Bandit and Melon. In her spare time she enjoys going fishing, camping, hanging out with her family. In a more relaxed setting she enjoys reading a good book at the beach.
Aviva joined our team in February 2020 after moving here from NJ. She has 5 pets and in her free time she enjoys exploring her new home state, traveling , cooking, and reading.
Erin graduated from Coastal Carolina University in December of 2020. She is originally from South Carolina and have moved half way across the country before ultimately deciding the Charleston area is where she was meant to be. Erin got married in November of 2022. Erin and her husband have quite a few pets; 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 lizard, 1 tortoise & multiple koi! She loves working with animals and it has always been a passion of hers! She is currently enrolled in school to become a Veterinary Technician and is super excited to continue her education.
Tiffany joined our team in April of 2020. Her love for veterinary medicine stemmed from being a kennel tech working in doggie daycares. From then, she knew she wanted to work with animals and she is working towards becoming a licensed veterinary technician. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach/lake and spending time with her family, friends, and 3 dogs.
Krystal joined our team with ten years of experience. She graduated from Trident Technological College in 2003 with an Associates in Veterinary Technology. She loves to spend time on the boat with her husband, son Ryder and daughter Paislee. She attends bike week every year, and enjoys riding in her free time. She loves to be adventurous and go mudding with 4-wheelers on the weekends along with anything outdoors. She is the mommy of several fur babies which include one cat and three dogs.
Danarae has been in the veterinary industry since 2012. After graduating from Trident Technical College in 2013 she worked at a private practice for a number of years before starting in emergency medicine. After 2+ years at the ER she wanted to come back to general practice and has been with us since 2022. She enjoys spending her free time with her dogs and rescue cats.
Carl is originally from Miami, Florida where he started his career in Veterinary Medicine. He has been a veterinary nurse for over 25 years, and most of his career has been in emergency medicine.
Melinda joined our team in October 2019. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2015. She has 3 furbabies of her own and loves working with animals and making a difference in their lives.
Ashton joined our team in June 2020 after moving to Goose Creek in 2019. She has worked with animals since 2017. She has four cats (Wendy, Sabrina, Iris and Beatrix) and two dogs (Casper and Noli). In her spare time, she likes to take her dogs out to the park and visit zoos/aquariums.
Eva was born and raised in Boston, MA but moved to South Carolina to attend Coastal Carolina University in 2014. She moved to Goose Creek in 2020 with her husband and two cats named Titus and Augustus. Eva’s passion for animals ranges far and wide and dates back to her childhood. She has worked in the veterinary field for a few years and absolutely loves what she does. Eva takes pride in her job and makes it her mission to make sure each pet is treated as her own.
Tiffany joined our team in September 2017. She has 4 fur babies, 3 dogs named Axel, Leah and Rex and 1 cat named Tobias. She has always had a love and passion for animals since she was a little girl. Now she gets to work with them and help care for them on a daily basis.
Rachel was born and raised in Charleston, SC. She started as a kennel technician at a local daycare and did volunteer work at a local equine rescue with both fueled her passion for animals and pushed her to start working as a veterinary technician in 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 4 dogs, friends & family, line dancing, watching college football (Go Tigers), boating, hiking, really anything to get her outdoors.
Kat rejoined our team in 2022. She originally joined in 2018 but was relocated with her husband. When they got orders to come back to Charleston, we welcomed her back with open arms. Kat has worked in the veterinary field since 2010 and has 2 dogs (Mowgli and Dio). In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside or at the beach with her husband and furbabies.
