Our Veterinarians
Dr. Tim Sullivan
Dr. Tim Sullivan attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was very active in several organizations, such as the Student Chapter of the Disaster Animal Response Team (SCDART). Dr. Sullivan had additional training in dentistry, anesthesiology, and preventative medicine. Preventative medicine, he believes, is key to our pet’s health. It enables us, as veterinary professionals, to diagnose potential health concerns early.
Dr. Daniel Westphal
Dr. Daniel Westphal joined the GCVC family in July 2017. He graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, following an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Illinois. He was a small animal tracker in veterinary school, specializing in canine and feline medicine. He has an interest in preventative and internal medicine. Whenever he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Westphal enjoys exploring the outdoors and watching live music.
Dr. Marisa Romagnuolo
Pronounced Dr. [Rah+Mag-New-Low], she earned her veterinary degree with honors from the University of Calgary. Dr. Romagnuolo has years of experience caring for small animals and exotics, as well as being active in community outreach.
Dr. Romagnuolo is empathetic, kind, and Fear Free Certified. She puts her patient’s comfort first in the exam room and prioritizes client education.
Our Veterinary Staff
Kyle
Kyle joined our team in 2015 with many years of experience at a veterinary clinic in Sumter, SC. He graduated from Trident Technical College with an Associate in Commercial Graphics-Photography in 2014. He is an avid photographer and graphic designer. In his spare time, he loves to travel and does so at every opportunity. He is an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) and The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Tiffany W
Assistant Practice Manager
Tiffany started her vet med career in June 2015 but her love for animals started when she was about 3-4 years old. She has 2 human babies (Hayleigh and Raymond) and 3 furbabies (Spooks, Ruby and Jax). Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her kids. She is also a big beach lover and enjoys crafting.
Shannon
Client Service Representative
Shannon has been a part of our team since March of 2007. She has 2 children and a wonderful granddaughter. Her family also includes 2 dogs (Cleopatra and Gemma) and 2 cats named Bandit and Melon. In her spare time, she enjoys going fishing, camping, and hanging out with her family. In a more relaxed setting, she enjoys reading a good book at the beach.
Dana
Dana was born and raised in Ridgeville, South Carolina. She attended Trident Technical College and has been a licensed veterinary technician for about 16 years. She has 4 dogs (3 Italian greyhounds and 1 whippet). On days when she is not working, she is home hanging out with her dogs, gardening, or recharging at Edisto Beach.
Tiffany J
Client Service Representative
Tiffany joined our team in April of 2020. Her love for veterinary medicine stemmed from being a kennel tech working in doggie daycares. From then, she knew she wanted to work with animals and she is working towards becoming a licensed veterinary technician. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach/lake and spending time with her family, friends, and 3 dogs.
Krystal
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Krystal joined our team with ten years of experience. She graduated from Trident Technological College in 2003 with an Associates in Veterinary Technology. She loves to spend time on the boat with her husband, son Ryder, and daughter Paislee. She attends bike week every year and enjoys riding in her free time. She loves to be adventurous and go mudding with 4-wheelers on the weekends along with anything outdoors. She is the mommy of several fur babies which include one cat and three dogs.
Toni
Toni is currently enrolled in the veterinary assistant program and is eager to learn new ways to help care for all the animals that come her way. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, photography, and spending time with loved ones.
Amy
Amy is a wife and mother of 3. She is a retired hair stylist for 24 years and has been in veterinary medicine for 4 years. Animals have always been her passion and loves being able to care for them day in and day out. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her 3 great danes and miniature dachshund and family.
Melinda
Veterinary Nurse
Melinda joined our team in October 2019. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2015. She has 3 furbabies of her own and loves working with animals and making a difference in their lives.

Tiffany joined our team in September 2017. She has 4 fur babies, 3 dogs named Axel, Leah and Rex and 1 cat named Tobias. She has always had a love and passion for animals since she was a little girl. Now she gets to work with them and help care for them on a daily basis.
Rachel
Veterinary Nurse
Rachel was born and raised in Charleston, SC. She started as a kennel technician at a local daycare and did volunteer work at a local equine rescue, which both fueled her passion for animals and pushed her to start working as a veterinary technician in 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 4 dogs, friends & family, line dancing, watching college football (Go Tigers), boating, hiking, and really anything to get her outdoors.
Valerie
Valerie grew up in the lowcountry. She loves cats and dogs equally. Valery was formerly a Veterinary Technician for 8 years and has become a great addition to our front desk team. She has a passion for educating pet owners each day.
Casey
Originally from New Jersey, Casey has lived the majority of her adult life in South Carolina. She has a passion for saving animals ever since she was young. She has over eight years of experience working with animals. Casey is passionate about dental care and dermatology. She loves to work with wildlife and in her spare time loves to help rehabilitate them. Casey is an artist and loves to paint.
Tammy
Tammy is from South Bend, Indiana. She has been married for 32 years and has two daughters, four grandsons, and three dogs. Tammy and her husband are avid billiard players.
Alivia
Alivia joined our team in early 2023 from our sister hospital. She has a passion for client education which makes her the perfect fit for our Client Liaison role. Alivia loves horticulture and has a passion for reading.
Tara
Tara grew up in Gobles, MI. She joined the Navy in 2012, met her husband while stationed in Charleston in 2016. She left the Navy in 2022 to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. Tara and her husband own a Husky (Tucker), two Great Danes (Cleo & Rhea), a Sunglow Boa Constrictor (Lucy), and a horse (Stitch). They have a lovely crazy toddler, Jordyn,. During their time off, they enjoy relaxing at home together, horseback riding, motorcycle events, and exploring the Charleston area.

Veterinary Nurse
Ashton joined our team in June 2020 after moving to Goose Creek Veterinary Clinic in 2019. She has worked with animals since 2017. She has four cats (Wendy, Sabrina, Iris and Beatrix) and two dogs (Casper and Noli). In her spare time, she likes to take her dogs out to the park and visit zoos/aquariums.
Maria
Maria grew up in Charleston, SC and met her husband while attending college. They moved to Virginia on military orders in 2018. Maria and her family moved back to Charleston following her husband’s last duty station orders. Maria and her husband have a geriatric Pitbull mix names Maxwell, a feisty-young cat named Pickles, and a very cheeky son named Mason. On their time off together, they love going to the pool/beach, hanging out with close friends, reading, or playing all types of games together!
